11 Amazing Scenes From ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Trailer and What They Mean

Published

on

Even though it took a while to get here, at long last the trailer for Avengers 4, now officially titled Avengers: Endgame, has arrived bright and early last morning. The massive first trailer is all about the tone and aftermath of Avengers: Infinity War. It plays out like a eulogy for the countless fallen as well as a lamentation of the heartbroken that left behind, before offering a spark of hope even from the smallest of superheroes.

The Avengers: Endgame trailer seems to not give us much about the overall plot of the movie. But it’s still full of awesome shots dripping with weight and meaning for us to break down and speculate about as we’ve been counting down the days until this game comes to an end.

The Last Will of Tony Stark

Poetically, this Endgame trailer starts much as the MCU began, with Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), alone and trying to get back home. With resources running low with no hope of rescue, he sees his end in sight and says a heartfelt goodbye to Pepper Potts. It seems to be a beautiful moment from the former playboy as he tells her “When I drift off I’ll dream about you. It is always you.” This footage sets up the very personal stakes of this film. And we realize that even though Tony survived The Decimation, he’s not out of the woods yet. Exactly where he is or how far he is from home remains unknown. However, just guess the most likely way he could get saved is from Captain Marvel.

Watching The Sunrise On a Grateful Universe

The Avengers: Endgame trailer reveals Thanos’ armor, hung up and no longer in need of use. That scene leads into a beautiful shot of the Mad Titan walking through a field as the sun is rising. It is such a compelling contrast. From there, we see our heroes in mourning, while the villain in a shot that’s peaceful and serene. The kind of imagery we usually associate with children or happiness. Thanos is seemingly alive and well on permanent vacation. And he’s not, as some have suspected, dead or somewhere in the Soul Stone.

Returning Home

In Infinity War, the schism in the wake of Captain America: Civil War remained. But after the attack on Vision & Scarlet Witch, Captain America was back at home, Avengers Headquarters. Whether the powers that were all snapped away or they’ve realized the error of their ways, it’s clear that our heroes are no longer on the run as fugitives. Instead, they’re back at home and operating out of headquarters as they are trying to recover from The Decimation.

Captain America Crying

Steve Rogers’s Chris Evans is the beating heart of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And now we see that heart is broken. When Black Widow is talking about Thanos accomplishing his goal of wiping out 50% of all the universe, we see Cap processing the magnitude of that loss. Probably, it took some time after the Battle of Wakanda for the full effect of Thanos’ snap to be measured, but we saw here that the total devastation is setting in. Despite how sentimental Cap expresses, he is still strong for everyone else. And this touching moment, perhaps more than the rest, is enough to make even the most jaded of MCU fans to tear up.

Counting The Dead

After the events of Infinity War, we have a pretty good idea of who was alive and who is not. But a few characters disappeared ambiguously. The footage of Bruce Banner tallying the dead indicates that Shuri is either dead or missing like Scott Lang. That leaves an interesting chance for Shuri to play a secretive role if she really didn’t turn into dust. Also, this scene shows that whatever the reason is, the Avengers still believe Scott Lang to be dead or just missing. That makes the end of the trailer all more impactful.

Should Have Gone For the Head

Every superhero was suffering and getting lost in Avengers: Infinity War, but Thor’s loss was seemingly the most personal, and thus the most painful. His people got homeless, fleeing from an Asgard that was no more left. Then, Thanos set upon his refugee ship and killed half of what was left of his once mighty civilization. Thanos also did kill Thor’s brother, Loki, right in front of him. Thor’s journey throughout the movie was one of vengeance, and when he had a shot, he failed. What we could see here is a Thor who has lost everything. He’s likely racked with guilt and feels regretful over what he could have done differently. Expectedly he will be aiming to right the wrong in Endgame.

Nebula

At the final of Avengers: Infinity War, Nebula was stranded with Tony Stark on Titan, having just watched those around them turned into dust as Thanos achieved his goal. The trailer didn’t make it exactly clear what’s going on with Nebula. She is, like the rest, in mourning, as she lost her sister Gamora. But we still don’t know what’s next for her. You may think she and Tony had left Titan together, but we didn’t see them together at the beginning of the trailer. So if they are not together, where is Nebula now? And why didn’t she leave with Tony?

Hawkeye Appears At Last! As Ronin!

After his absence in Infinity War, we are hoping to see Hawkeye in the trailer, and it didn’t disappoint us. He has assumed the Ronin identity as it was rumored he would. And Hawkeye looks incredibly badass as the masterless, wandering samurai. We also see him as Cap’s voiceover says “We lost family,” all but confirming our belief that his family was victims in The Decimation. Even though we’ve seen him now, many questions remain about Clint Barton. It’s like who he just killed in this footage, why, and whether Natasha was specifically looking for him or just ran into him.

Captain America & Black Widow Have a Plan

In the trailer, Black Widow told Cap that “This is going to work, Steve,” implying that they did have a plan. Although the trailer didn’t tease more what that plan is; but after mourning, our superheroes will be getting back on the horse to try and recover what they have lost. Cap’s response really conveyed the gravity of the situation, hammering home that this truly is the Endgame. Also, as we watched earlier in the trailer, Captain America has shaved his beard. And here, instead of the uniform that he wore in Infinity War, he has returned to the STRIKE Stealth battlesuit he put in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. That perhaps indicates that he’s no longer a fugitive and is reassuming his mantle.

Remembering Peggy Carter

When we saw Captain America and Black Widow talking of the plan, the trailer also shows Cap holding a compass with an old picture of Peggy Carter in it. That Steve Rogers remembering his soulmate at this moment is so touching. It may also clue us into one of the story’s suspected factors. We have long thought on that time travel would play a role in this story if The Decimation is to be undone. And if that’s a part of the mission Cap and Widow are about to embark on, he’s likely thinking of a selfish way that he could use it, like getting the dance that they never got. Hopefully, this is a hint that we may see Hayley Atwell’s character returning in some fashion.

Ant-Man To The Rescue!

After choking back tears during the first two minutes of the Avengers: Endgame trailer, the preview leaves us with a moment of happiness and also a clue as to the heroes’ salvation. We catch Scott Lang arriving at Avengers Headquarters (the place he once robbed) and basically ringing the doorbell. As having discussed earlier, Steve and Natasha seem to have thought he was already dead, making his appearance miraculous. We also know that he got stuck in the Quantum Realm, then he escaped somehow. Ant-Man didn’t succeed in the first fight with Thanos. However, his return now hints that the Quantum Realm will be playing a big part in the Endgame.

Avengers: Endgame will fly into theaters on April 26th, 2019.

“Avengers: Endgame” Cast and Directors Issues Spoiler Warning for Fans

Published

on

By

Avengers: Endgame officially rolls out into theaters tomorrow, and fans all across the world are preparing accordingly – including being wary of spoilers. If you are among those who want to be kept in the dark about the upcoming blockbuster, it sounds like the franchise star Robert Downey Jr. has your back.

The Iron Man star recently took to his Twitter to join the chorus of Marvel cast and crew members asking fans to not “Spoil the Endgame,” on social media or otherwise. Robert Downey Jr., who returns as Tony Stark/Iron Man in the film, utilized the meme of Captain America’s PSAs in Spider-Man: Homecoming as a way to steer fans away from leaking details about the film.

Admittedly, there’s a weird sort of irony in Downey’s anti-spoiler PSA, as the Endgame directors have hinted that Downey was probably the only actor to know the entire story of Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame going in.

But even then, the possibility of accidentally finding Avengers: Endgame spoilers has been surprisingly intense in recent weeks, thanks to partial and even entire leaks of the film popping up online.

“I think this has even more spoilers than the last one,” co-director Joe Russo explained in an interview with Box Office Pro.

“This is a culture that wants everything. And now it is getting worse. As the world is connected via social media, and information travels within seconds. If you have been following along with this narrative for ten years, you are going to want to protect yourself. It is best to go in clean. So I encourage people to go opening weekend because I am sure everything is going to hit the Internet the moment the movie his the screen.”

The Russo Brothers also shared a meme which sees Doctor Strange (star Benedict Cumberbatch) peering into more than 14 million futures to witness how Endgame unfolds. But in the end, the master of the mystic arts spoils none of it.

Following Infinity War’s anti-spoiler campaign, #ThanosDemandsYourSilence, the Russos have since issued a new plea: #DontSpoilTheEndgame.

“For all of you who’ve been on this journey with us since the very beginning, and sharing every high and low with your own family, friends, classmates, and your co-workers. That investing so deeply in every character and storyline. Cheering. Laughing. Shedding tears. And giving so freely of your thoughts and emotions in spirited dialogue, fan art, theories, and also fan fiction. Please know that two of us, along with everyone involved in Endgame, have worked tirelessly for the last 3 years with the sole intention of delivering a surprising and emotionally powerful conclusion to this Infinity Saga,” Joe and Anthony Russo wrote in a letter, addressing to Marvel Studios’ legion of worldwide fans.

“As so many of you have invested your time, hearts, and souls into these stories, once again we are asking for your help. When you see Avengers: Endgame in the coming weeks, please do not spoil it for others, the same way you would not want it spoiled for you. Remember, Thanos still demands your silence.”

Captain Marvel is now playing in select theaters. Avengers: Endgame opens on April 26. Spider-Man: Far From Home premieres on July 2.

“Avengers” Directors Revealed the Only Actor to Get Entire Scripts

Published

on

By

Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame are definitely two of the biggest movies in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, bringing together all of the superheroes virtually that have appeared in the series thus far. A slight complication to having such a massive roster of superheroes is that the more people who know the story, the more chance there are for that story to be spoiled.

Recently, during an interview with Rotten Tomatoes, while recalling the experience that brought the two films to life, directors Joe and Anthony Russo revealed that Robert Downey Jr., who birthed the MCU with his character Iron Man in 2008, is likely the only actor in the MCU to have read the films’ entire scripts.

“Probably [Robert Downey Jr.] was the only one actually to read the entire scripts,” Joe admitted. “I think Benedict [Cumberbatch, Doctor Strange] got the scripts that included his scenes only. And [Chris] Evans might have read the whole script.”

You can watch the full video below.

While some people might think this is a complex way to make a movie, ultimately it’s done to allow each actor to have the freedom of ignorance, because if they do not know the entire story, they do not have to worry about letting key details slip out.

“Part of our motivation to do this is it just takes a lot of pressure off of people,” Anthony shared. “I mean, it’s hard to constantly censor yourself about what you are saying, or how you talk because these films are your whole life. “It is everything you are doing all day long; the inclination is to talk about it. And so we take a lot of pressure off of people just by saying, ‘Okay, the less you know, the less you’ll have to mind yourself.’”

In the larger scope of Infinity War, with various characters on their own journeys, it made the actors only having their isolated dialogued easier for the talent, with the filmmakers nothing this strategy continued through Endgame, in spite of the movie featuring the characters interacting with another more in the wake of Thanos’ deadly snap.

“Thor, [Chris] Hemsworth’s character, does not need to know what Captain America is doing for most of Infinity War. Hemsworth reads his scenes, and Evans read his scenes. So if they do not read the rest of the movie, they do not know what is going on with it, and it makes it easier to have conversations with people,” confirmed Joe. “So we kept it going through, even more so, with Endgame. There’re more secrets in Endgame than there’re in Infinity War.”

Though there are many complications that come with this shooting strategy, the benefit ultimately goes to the audiences, because the chances of anything being spoiled is reduced immensely.

“It’s a more tedious way to work, to be honest, because we have to do more discussion on set about context because they do not have the entirety of the script to rely on,” Anthony explained. “You have to work harder in order to work this way, but we do believe it is worth it because the payoff is a special experience in the movie theater for all the audiences.”

The secrets of Avengers: Endgame will be unveiled when it lands in theaters on April 26.

“Avengers: Endgame” Breaks Record for Biggest Opening Day Ever in China

Published

on

By

The wait for Avengers: Endgame is finally over. The blockbuster is starting to trickle into theaters across the globe, giving Marvel fans the film they have been talking about for the past decade. While Endgame does not open in North America until Thursday night, it’s currently concluding its opening day over in China where it is delivering a massive haul. There will likely be several records broken by Avengers: Endgame over the next couple months, and it took just one day to check the first milestone off the list.

Avengers: Endgame has officially set the record for the biggest opening day in Chinese box office history.

According to early estimates from Deadline, the film has earned a whopping $107 million after debuting in China, including $28.1 million from midnight screenings. That also knocks off the previous champion Monster Hunt 2, which released last year.

At this rate, China will likely match, or possibly even surpass, the opening weekend haul for the United States. Initial estimates even suggested that Endgame could deliver an opening weekend between $250 and $280 million. However, these estimates are now starting to rise, with some believing it could reach the $300 million mark.

That is the goal for the United States opening weekend as well. Meanwhile, the current domestic opening record belongs to last year’s Avengers: Infinity War, which earned more than $257 million in its first three days. Avengers: Endgame will easily smash that mark when it arrives this weekend. Still, the only question remaining is just how far it can go.

Certainly, it helps Avengers: Endgame that the critical reviews have been so overwhelmingly positive early on. After the embargo lifted on Tuesday night, Avengers: Endgame quickly became Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with a %97 score. It is a hit with critics as well as the box office, setting it up for a massive theatrical run.

So, how much do you think Endgame will make in the opening weekend? Could it pass Avatar and become the highest grossing movie of all time? Let us know in the comments!

“Avengers: Endgame” Officially Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes

Published

on

By

Earlier in the night, the reviews for Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame started surfacing, and just like that, the movie has earned its first major distinction. Moments ago, Rotten Tomatoes announced that Avengers: Endgame was Certified Fresh at 98%, the same score it debuted with 85 reviews submitted. Since it has been Certified Fresh, the film has dropped 1% point, now hovering at 97% along with 89 reviews submitted as of this writing.

Out of those 89 reviews submitted, only three are “rotten.” There is one dissenting opinion that says the film is disappointing as a “direct result of Infinity War being so great” while others say the film is interrupted by “faux-improvised humor” throughout.

(Photo: Rotten Tomatoes)

At 97% Certified Fresh, Avengers: Endgame is now tied with Black Panther for becoming the highest-rated movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe on the review-aggregating site. It is the 20th “Certified Fresh” film from Marvel Studios with the only two flicks not earning this honor include Thor: The Dark World and The Incredible Hulk.

Endgame is set to make unprecedented money at the box office, with some reports suggest the movie could earn upwards of $1 billion worldwide during its debut outing. Meanwhile, the current global opening record is held by Avengers: Infinity War, which made $647.5 in its opening weekend.

You can also read early reactions which went live recently here.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner. Entire “Avengers: Endgame” Film Leaks Online on Piracy Networks

Published

on

By

We’re officially at Defcon 1 when it comes to Avengers: Endgame spoilers flooding the Internet. Not only has the movie now screened for the select press (people now living in the separate universe of spoilery details), but Endgame has also now leaked online, on several key piracy networks.

A new report digs into the incident, turning up that the leaked copy of Avengers: Endgame did come from a Chinese theatrical screening. At the time of writing this, Endgame has already had a record-breaking opening in China, so it means that there are literally hundreds of thousands of potential culprits, especially when it comes to who recorded the film and then uploaded it online.

Chinese users have been passing Endgame around in a 1.2G file along with peer-to-peer networks, and it has since made its way overseas to American torrent networks. Obviously, the exact links and locations to that file will NOT be posted here. However, before you are about to go looking (those few of you masochistic enough to do so), you definitely should be warned: you probably will not like what you find. All reports state that the version of Endgame that leaked is a pretty crappy one. As Variety reports:

However, per TorrentFreak’s report, the quality of that pirated copy is really bad. ‘The image constantly flickers throughout,’ the site quoted a source as saying. ‘It is semi-rotated and littered throughout with watermarks for a gambling site that spin around the screen.

Still, this is not the first big leak to hit Avengers: Endgame. In fact, last week, a 5-minute clip of spoilery Endgame footage hit the Internet and made big waves, as it was the first real insight into the movie that fans and industry figures had seen. Many fans swore off watching it, but as always, there were those shameless trolls that had to spread to footage around like they were that crazy dude in Bird Box, trying to make people see.

Throughout the onslaught of spoiler drops, Marvel Studios and Avengers: Endgame directors The Russo Brothers have steadily maintained the “#DontSpoilTheEndgame” mantra, constantly reminding viewers to preserve the experience for other Marvel fans. As the first Endgame early reactions from critics, the less you know about this film going in, the more epic the experience of seeing it. Take note!

“Avengers: Endgame” Box Office Projections Closing In On Record-Shattering, Near $1 Billion Global Launch

Published

on

By

Big things are highly expected of Avengers: Endgame when the film finally hits theaters, including a monumental opening weekend at the box office. Endgame has already broken records in regards to advance tickets sales, which is even more impressive when you consider Infinity War’s impressive record-breaking status. Though Avengers: Endgame seemingly is poised to not just defeat Infinity War in advance ticket sales, but also in its opening weekend box office according to new projections.

These early projections are incredibly promising, as Endgame is expected to launch out of the gate with an $850 million worldwide box office in total (via The Hollywood Reporter). The movie is predicted to debut with $270 to $300 million domestically when it hits North America’s 4,600 theaters. If Endgame manages to land in that projected range (or even better), it’ll likely surpass a billion in just less than a week, which is honestly just crazy.

To put that into perspective, Avengers: Infinity War holds the biggest opening ever at $640.5 million as well as the biggest domestic opening with $257.6 million. Globally it does not even seem like a close race, as it’s also launching in China with the rest of the markets, unlike last year’s Infinity War. The upcoming Endgame is expected to premiere in China with around $250 million as compared to Infinity War’s $191 million. But we will wait and see if that actually happens.

Domestic though will be a closer race. That is because Endgame will have fewer showings than Infinity War did due to its increased run time. While Infinity War took 2 hours and 29 minutes, Endgame clocks in at 3 hours and 58 seconds. To be fair, we still do not think this will be much of an issue, but it might make the debuts much closer than expected.

Avengers: Infinity War ended up bringing in $2,048,359,754 billion at the box office once all was said and done. And Avengers: Endgame will likely exceed that number, though we are not sure by how much. If the flick is as good as early reactions are indicating, it should have no probable surpassing Infinity War.

Avengers: Endgame officially hits theaters on April 26.

“Avengers: Endgame” Cast Sings A Marvel Version of “We Didn’t Start The Fire” Featuring Stan Lee Tribute

Published

on

By

Leading up to the forthcoming release of Avengers: Endgame in theaters, on Monday, the cast of this blockbuster stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to sing their iteration of “We Didn’t Start The Fire,” and it is about as glorious as you would expect. Doing the best cover of the Billy Joel 1989 history-filled hit, the majority of original Avengers – alongside new additions like Brie Larson, Danai Guira, and Paul Rudd – were on hand to send their hearts out.

Enjoy the comic strip mash-up above.

Last year, right before Avengers: Infinity War debuted, the cast also spoofed the classic Brady Bunch opening credits in a bit to hype the film. The video has since been viewed more than 21 million times. And this year on the show, with Avengers: Endgame about to smash into theaters, the cast parodied and danced to the tune of Billy Joel, turning it into a tribute to the late Stan Lee.

Just like last time, Robert Downey Jr. starring Iron Man leads the band. He sings lyrics like, “Tony Stark, Iron Man, Nick Fury has a plan.” Marvel villains also get their turn in the spotlight. Groot and Goose the cat nail their brief appearances which are especially good, yet the ending will have you saying “awww.” And the lump-in-throat moment comes at the end as the special tribute to Lee forms out of nowhere.

In a move that is sure to tug at the heartstrings of Marvel fans, the video finishes with a mosaic of Stan Lee. Avengers: Endgame co-director Joe Russo previously confirmed that Lee’s cameo in this latest Avengers flick was the last one he filmed.

Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, with Chris Evans (Captain America), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Josh Brolin (Thanos), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Danai Gurira (Okoye), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie), Karen Gillan (Nebula), and Bradley Cooper (Rocket Raccoon).

First “Avengers: Endgame” Reactions Arrive Online

Published

on

By

Earlier this evening, the highly-anticipated world premiere of Avengers: Endgame took place in Los Angeles, alongside the first reactions of the film have started flooding social media. As expected, the responses are overwhelmingly positive, with some even going the length of calling Endgame the best superhero film ever released.

Leading up to this weekend, various reports of suggested monstrous box office tracking amounts, with some analysts thinking the Marvel film could crack $300 million domestically during its opening weekend. The biggest domestic opening of all time currently belongs to last year’s Avengers: Infinity War, which brought $257 million over the course of its debut outing last May.

“It is unprecedented territory,” Boxoffice chief analyst Shawn Robbins expressed. “The numbers that are out floating round out there no matter where you look. It is on a level that I do not even think the most optimistic and/or sort of expected. It feels pretty reasonable, if there’s such a thing, to say that it will set a new record at this point.

Meanwhile, Brandon Davis from Comicbook also shared his feelings.

Avengers: Endgame is an astonishing and amazing film. I have never seen anything like it. The movie is everything I wanted to be and SO much more. Amazing.

While watching Endgame, I laughed so loud, then I clapped with so much force, and I cried so hard. This movie exceeds every expectation and is the perfect culmination of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe.”

“I just cannot remember a cinematic experience like the one I just had with Endgame. Simply blown away. I feel like the movie was made for every Marvel fan, everywhere.”

Fandango managing editor Erik Davis also said the film was really emotional, so get your tissues ready.

Avengers: Endgame is a masterful epic – a true culmination of 22 films that not only concludes the story but expands upon it. You will learn more about the other movies while this one unfolds. If Avengers: Infinity War is the brawn, Endgame is the brains. And wow, what an ending!

Do not go in expecting Infinity War part II. The two films are so different, yet compliment each other in all the best ways. In terms of which MCU film to watch beforehand… honestly, all of them. What an experience – what an accomplishment,” he wrote.

Not going to spoil anything at all, but I’ll say I laughed, I cried, I cried, I cheered, and I laughed, I cried again and the entire audience gave it a massive standing ovation. Then I cried again. Be ready, kids. Be. Ready.”

“Imagine the best possible version of Avengers: Endgame and somehow the film still surpasses all expectations. I cried 5-6 times. It is the most emotional and most epic MCU film. A tribute to 10 years of the universe and holy sh*t the great fan service in this movie. Sooooo good.” Peter Sciretta from SlashFilm also said.

Keep scrolling down to see what people are saying about Avengers: Endgame, which officially hits theaters on April 26.

And the last but not least, remember this.

So, how about you? Are you ready to see this Marvelous film?

“Avengers: Endgame” Estimated to Have Already Sold Over $120 Million in Presale Tickets

Published

on

By

It is no secret by now that this weekend’s Avengers: Endgame is going to be a massive blockbuster at the box office. This culmination of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is already prepared to smash several different records, including its opening weekend, and possibly the overall worldwide box office title. The film is poised to make all of the money. Actually, Endgame is already a box office behemoth in spite of not yet playing on a single screen. The presale tickets for this Marvel’s latest are absolutely staggering.

According to Deadline, recent sources are estimating that Avengers: Endgame has already sold more than $120 million in presale tickets across retailers as well as theater companies.

Meanwhile, other sources believe the number is even coming higher, potentially reaching the $140 million thresholds.

However, these numbers are not official by any means. And there’s no guarantee that all of the tickets already sold are for the movie’s opening weekend; however, this does align with similar situations at the box office. It was previously estimated that Star Wars: The Force Awakens had sold around $100 million in presales ahead of its debut back in 2015, and the movie went on to score $247.9 million in the opening weekend. Though that was the record at the time, now Avengers: Endgame is set to pass it this weekend, especially considering Marvel’s latest blockbuster has easily topped The Force Awakens in just presales.

As of now, it looks like Endgame could not only break last year’s Infinity War but could even become the first movie ever to make $300 million in its domestic debut. With that in mind, it is not a stretch to think Endgame could be the film that even takes out Avatar as the highest grossing film in Marvel history.

Following its debut back in 2009, James Cameron’s Avatar did ride the waves of groundbreaking visual effects and exceptional word of mouth, taking the top spot in the all-time box office rankings. According to Box Office Mojo report, Avatar earned a whopping $2,787,965,087 by the time it was all said and done. If there was ever a film to take out Avatar, it should be Avengers: Endgame.

So, have you already got your tickets for the forthcoming Avengers: Endgame? The film hits theaters on April 26!

Published

on

By

Marvel Studios has just released a new TV spot for the upcoming Avengers: Endgame. The promo offers fans the first look at Tessa Thompson returning as Valkyrie in the film. We also see a glimpse of Josh Brolin monologuing as Thanos, threatening to burn Earth to Cinders: “After I kill you, I am going to burn this annoying little planet to cinders.”

Check out the TV spot below.

It’s still unclear at this time just what Valkyrie has been doing since Thanos defeated the Asgardians following the events of Thor: Ragnarok. However, it is likely that she is just as eager as the God of Thunder to get revenge against the Mad Titan.

The Endgame stars have also been pouring on the hype for the movie.

Karen Gillan believes that Avengers: Endgame is the best superhero film ever made.

“It is going to be the best superhero movie of all time,” the Nebula star said in an interview. “Even if you have never seen those characters before, it does not matter. You can still jump on board, and you are going to have a whale of a time.”

During another interview, Robert Downey Jr. declared, “The last 8 minutes of that movie are maybe the best of the entire history of the whole run of them in a way because everyone is involved. So I was delighted.”

Avengers: Endgame is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo with a screenplay from Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The film’s ensemble cast is Robert Downey Jr./Iron Man, Josh Brolin/Thanos, Mark Ruffalo/Hulk, Chris Evans/Captain America, Chris Hemsworth/Thor, Jeremy Renner/Hawkeye/Ronin, Scarlet Johansson/Black Widow, Brie Larson/Captain Marvel, Karen Gillan/Nebula, Paul Rudd/Ant-Man, Bradley Cooper/Rocket Raccoon, Don Cheadle/War Machine, Danai Gurira/Okoye and so on.

Avengers: Endgame officially hits theaters on April 26. In the meantime, Captain Marvel is now in theaters. Spider-Man: Far From Home premieres earlier on July 2.
